Ahead of things on RANK
Short stream today but we:
- implemented and thought through rank bar
- Tied rank to enemy army setup
- Implemented combat character wipe contributing bonus to morale bar
- Seethed about NPC turn/player turn start still overlapping in some nebulous broken way
I’ve refactored that NPC turn thing twice now to little effect. It’s got to be because of the hovers and some other asynchronous timing thing but my brain really resists thinking about it. I’ll work it out eventually, but it’s not a huge deal right now.
Our next big priority is getting some baseline content written for the opinion and events systems. Once we get a little in there, it’ll be easy to see what our gaps are and what else we can add as we proceed. I’m pretty excited about both, especially once we get enough in to make them more multiplicative.
I also want to find a way to make the opinions window more prominent (without overshadowing anything. It should be almost as impactful (and polished) as the map screen. We’ll get there though. The map took a long time to get this far, and it still has further to go. The opinion system has only just begun.
